On June 26, 2014, the ladies of Team Sticky Fingers were thrilled to host an evening celebrating women's cycling with a screening of "Half the Road." This award-winning documentary film explores the world of women’s professional cycling, focusing on both the love of sport and the pressing issues of inequality that modern-day female riders face in a male dominated sport.
TSF was especially proud that this was the debut screening of "Half the Road" in the Washington DC area and it was a sold-out showing!
This event raised over $4000 support of local, national and international efforts to promote women's cycling. Proceeds from this event benefited the Washington Area Bicyclist Association Women & Bicycles Program and the Women's Cycling Association.
Door prizes and more were provided by DC-area cycling teams, organizations, local businesses and bike shops. The Grand Prize was provided by The Bike Rack.
